Italy is home to one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world, the Dolomites, a dream destination for all those who love mountains and excellent food. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009 and of indescribable, majestic beauty. The Dolomites are part of the Eastern Alps that were formed millions of years ago from the tropical sea and settled between the provinces of Bolzano, Trento and Belluno. An enchanting work of art by nature, with a stately and refined texture and a changing play of colours from white to reddish, depending on the position of the sun. A true paradise on earth, which we use as a backdrop for our 3-day cycle tour along the Adige Valley, starting from the charming Bolzano along the famous wine route.
In this magnificent Alpine setting, we will stay 3 nights in a prestigious hotel in the historic centre of Bolzano and spend 4 days exploring the area, enjoying 3 wine tastings in renowned South Tyrolean wineries. For three days we will get around on two wheels (e-bikes available on request), which will allow us to discover unique places surrounded by magnificent mountains and ancient villages and still authentic customs and traditions. We will also be able to enjoy a unique cuisine that is the result of a successful blend of traditional mountain flavours with a Mediterranean influence.
Day 1
12.00pm Meeting at the Hotel Luna, Bolzano, introduction and getting to know the group with welcome drinks.
3.00pm Guided tour and tasting of 6 wines in the Skywine Pavilion at the Loacker winery, Bolzano. Duration 1,5/2h
6.00pm Checking and registration of your own bike at Hotel Luna.
7.30pm Dinner at the Hotel Luna.
Day 2 - 40km - 5.5h - difference in altitude approx. 1000m

9.00am Meeting and departure from Hotel Luna by bike for the first stage of our tour on the High Road of Caldaro
Route: San Paolo - Appiano - Masaccio - Castelvecchio – San Michele - Bolzano
2.00pm guided tour and wine tasting in the St. Michael winery, approx. 1,5h
Return to the hotel by bike
Dinner and overnight stay
Day 3 - 45km - 5.5h - difference in altitude approx. 1000m

9.00am Meeting and short briefing. At 9.15am we set off on the second stage of the tour along the old wine route to Termeno via Altenburg.
2.00pm guided tour and tasting of 7 top wines in the renowned Cantina Tramin - approx. 2h.
Return to the hotel by bike
Dinner and overnight stay
Day 4 - 35km - 3.5-4h - difference in altitude approx. 600m
9.00am We cycle to Colterenzio, through the beautiful forest of Monticolo and experience its enchanting lakes. After a refreshing break, we continue through the Spring Valley to Lake Caldaro. We return to Bolzano around the Laimburg castle, where our 4-day adventure comes to an end.
Note: The itinerary may be changed depending on weather conditions or for operational reasons if the tour leader deems it necessary for the success of the trip, with the content of the programme remaining unchanged and consequently no refund will be made to the traveller.
